I used to have an addiction to health supplements.
I would read Amazon and iHerb user reviews.
I would scour the earth clinic forum of people literally “changing their lives” because they added a pill or tincture to their daily regimen.
I would take Ascorbic acid, Sodium ascorbate, NAC, creatine, multivitamins, Calcium, Zinc, Magnesium, B-complex, L-Glutamine, and many others.
I spent thousands of dollars on supplements, and in the end I’m no better for it.
In fact, it was when I stopped taking them and started looking at health from a different angle that I started feeling like a new person.
See, people want silver-bullet solutions to all of their woes.
I definitely did, but the real key to feeling healthy has much more to do with what you avoid rather than what you put into your body.
For a complete list of things to avoid, refer to the unapproved resources page.
Most of the “benefits” from multivitamins and specific vitamin and mineral tinctures are placebos, or are band-aid solutions to bigger problems, such as congested, overly-burdened organs that can’t do their jobs properly from bad lifestyle habits and mindsets that attract ill health.
Ironically, health supplements make you unhealthy .
Don't Eat a Lot of Refined Carbohydrates. Not all carbs are created equal. Refined carbs have been highly processed, and have had all the fiber removed from them. They are low in nutrients (empty calories), and can be extremely harmful. Studies show that refined carbohydrates are linked to overeating and numerous metabolic diseases.
They not only make you physically unhealthy and imbalanced, but mentally unhealthy.
Health is not found in a bottle.
Health is found in enjoying yourself, avoiding the bad and consuming the good in reasonable quantities.
There is no easy way to be healthy. It takes willpower, just like anything else worth achieving. You can’t just buy health.
Many supplements also come with additives, such as Titanium Dioxide, which promotes inflammation and makes you more susceptible to cancer.
We have bodies that haven’t really changed for the past 250,000+ years and are best at assimilating nutrients from whole foods, not extracted pills from a lab.

Make your “supplements” whole foodsupplements.
The only “supplements” you need:

If you buy the right brand, (Rosita) you’ll be getting all of the essential, hard-to-get nutrients for optimal health in one place and in the right ratios, which is Vitamin A, Vitamin D3, Omega 3 fatty acids and Iodine.
High Vitamin Butter Oil
The Dr. Weston A. Price noticed that Cod Liver Oil was less effective when it wasn’t paired with high vitamin butter oil.
It contains the “X-Factor,” or Vitamin K2, which works in synergy with Vitamins A and D.
Strong people go for help. Ask for assistance. Gnashing your teeth in the dark will not get you extra brownie points. It is a sign of strength to ask for assistance and people will respect you for it. If there is a relationship problem, the one who refuses to go for help is usually the one with whom the problem lies to begin with.
Raw, unpasteurized milk is an incredible health food that enhances the immune system and increases overall vitality.
Hard to find, but oh so good.
Add some raw honey to a glass of raw milk and regular old ice cream will taste like garbage thereafter.
Liver is probably the most nutrient-dense, health-promoting food out there.Walter Breuning, who lived until 114, claimed liver and onions to be his favorite meal.

Have about 2 eggs everyday with the yolks, and make sure they’re pasture-raised.
Real Sea Salt
Refined salt has iodine, but it’s also found to have MSG and other toxic additives.
Refined salt also raises blood pressure, whereas sea salt has a ton of health benefits thanks to its mineral content, the most astounding being increased hydration.
Natural Antibiotics (When Sick)
You need to know what you’re doing when it comes to Iodine supplementation, because you can also mess yourself up if you take it incorrectly.
However, if used with caution, it can kill just about any pathogen in your system and fix hypothyroidism.
Get what you give! Always giving and never taking? This is the short road to compassion fatigue. Give to yourself and receive from others, otherwise you’ll get to a point where you have nothing left to give. And hey, if you can’t receive from others, how can you expect them to receive from you?
I took it when I got food poisoning and felt better within hours.
Oregano oil cured my girlfriend’s chronic sinus infection that antiobiotics couldn’t treat.
It kills antibiotic-resistant bacteria and comes with a host of other health benefits.
